UCF Police Department ramps up crosswalk safety efforts
With a new semester in full force, the UCF Police Department is making sure pedestrians get across the street safely.
UCFPD Commander James Mangan said that in the third week of the semester, campus police ramped up their detail around campus because pedestrian safety is one of the department's top priorities and crosswalk safety has been an ongoing issue.
“We wanted to do it at the beginning of the semester so that way we can educate our community about the importance to stop at crosswalks,"
